TAFE NSW Training Centre Septic Control Panel Install

Troy Crawford (Middy’s Industrial & Automation BDM Central & Northern Victoria, Riverina & ACT) was approached by R&R Electrical to discuss a potential upgrade to the 4-pit septic system currently in service at the TAFE NSW - National Environment Centre. The unique training facility is located in Thurgoona, 10km from Albury NSW. It is a specialist training centre in Civil Construction and is used to provide theory and practical work for students. Talks developed where the existing system had never been fully functional and needed a full fit out to get it up to standard.

After viewing our Middy’s Industrial Demo Control Board, Graeme Roy from R&R Electrical Contractors asked Troy Crawford and Adam Goudie (Technologies & Industrial Sales Support) to go to the site to establish their requirements. From here they put together a rough schematic, quoted up the equipment required and put it to our manufacturer Scope Electrical Solutions in Echuca for the finished project price.

The board consisted of mainly NHP and ABB switchgear selected for its suitability to the application. Once the job was given the go ahead, the board was manufactured to spec.

The building of motor control systems is a service that Middy’s Industrial offers to our contractors who otherwise may not have the time or workshop capabilities to take on. They are built to a point where all the contractor has to do is physically mount the board and bring in the field wiring.
